Part I: Regular verbs: (Coloca-se o verbo no passado com o acréscimo de –ED:

Regras para colocação do –ED nos verbos regulares:

1. Verbos terminados em E = acrescenta-se D. Ex.: Dance = Danced   //    Love = loved

2. Verbos terminados em consoante + Y = troca-se o Y por IED. Ex.: Study = Studied   //   Carry = carried

3. Verbos terminado em vogal + Y = acrescenta-se ED. Ex.: Play = played   //   Enjoy = enjoyed

4. Monossilábicos terminados em C+V+C: repete-se a consoante final e acrescenta-se ED.Ex.: Stop = Stopped // Drop = Dropped

5. Dissilábicos terminados em C+V+C:repete-se a consoante final e acrescenta-se ED. Ex. Prefer = preferred

2. Negativa: Had not = Hadn’t

3. Interrogativa: não se abrevia.
